We blessed our Golden Jubilee bell at New Year’s Day mass, It was baptised Francis in honour of the Pope.

A Year of Celebration!

 

The following are a list of diary dates to keep safe

 

Open Air Mass - 24 May - Pentecost Sunday, our feast day

Invite Bishop Peter/ Lena Cole will coordinate the mass

It will be the only Mass that day followed by BBQ and picnic for all

Inviting

- past priests

- past parishioners

Commemorative booklet - Marie Johnston will coordinate

Commemorative mugs and prayer cards, pens – the Shop Team will coordinate

 

 

Camino to Santiago - Marie will give information to individuals who are interested

Use it for sponsorship to raise funds for the oarish

 

 

Establish Rosary Circle - Rosaleen

 

Celebration of parish groups and their work

Different cultural evening(s) - focus on food - Parish Council

Flags from all nationalities

 

Months – dedicated to renewal of sacraments and spiritual life

January - Reconciliation

February -Marriage

March - Vocation : priesthood, religious life

( Mgr Kevin celebrates 25 years of priesthood on 19 March)

April - Baptism

May - Confirmation

June -  Eucharist  - Corpus Christi procession

September - Anointing of the Sick

October - Rosary etc in homes

November - Bereavement

December - Kenyans

Pilgrimage to Rome - October half term

 

Next meeting - Tuesday 9th September 2014 after 7.30pm Mass
